Glitter Brushes for Procreate [ FREE and Premium]

This “Glitter Brushes for Procreate” list got pretty long, therefore I will try to write the introduction as briefly as possible.

First of all, this list is dedicated to Procreate brushes ONLY. Any alternative versions (Photoshop, Affinity designer) I mention in the brushes’ descriptions.

I always try to make my lists versatile, hence I try to include Premium and FREE brushes as well. It’s quite often for premium brush packs to have a few free sample brushes available to download – if I find any, I include links in their descriptions.
Also, you can divide brushes in this list into 3 categories: for lettering, for makeup (to enhance your portrait), and for background. That are the main purposes I had in mind while I was looking for glitter brushes.

I’m not a creator of the brush packs listed here – I like to gather them, assess them, write my thoughts, and include links directly to their sources + also include links to their creators’ official websites or social media pages with a brief description of their work.

List of Procreate Glitter Brushes

Brush packs included in this article are listed randomly.
While collecting and describing these brushes, I’ve tried to be as objective as possible. However, those are brushes that I personally find useful – there are many more awesome glitter brushes out there that I regret I’m not able to include here (the list would be too long), so if there’s a pack that you find more suitable for you but isn’t listed here, please let me know in the comments.

Many of the creators use these brushes in their own artworks, so if you have some time please check out also their websites and social media pages. Some of the artists also create Procreate tutorials or courses, which are great for beginners (and to be honest I tend to subscribe to their channels, as well as to their newsletters myself – it’s a pure goldmine of knowledge and freebies)!  Please stop by their social media pages to say thanks for their amazing work!

*These brushes are for the iOS app Procreate and for use with the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil (or compatible STYLUS). These brushes  DO NOT WORK IN PHOTOSHOP or other applications.

Zipped File Size: 30.7 MB
File Types Included: .BRUSHSET
Software compatibility: Procreate

I stumbled upon “Artwork by Gabrielle” brushes already a few times in the past, and finally, I have a chance to introduce to you her creations!
Glitter Brush Set has 20 custom brushes. Gabrielle did a great job at providing us with a variety of brushes that look like actual brush pens (not just different shapes of confetti). I consider it to be the biggest advantage of this pack compared to other brush packs.

Gabrielle specializes in painting portraits, and that’s how she mainly uses her brushes – to enhance their illustrations by using these brushes to add glitter texture to dresses or hair.

*Extra tip: While looking for more pieces of information about these brushes, I found a small tip for painting with glitter brushes. Use dark grey or black as a background color, and then try these colors while using the glitter brushes: #d6641b #dd7a3b #cf8233 #c9751f #cb6612
You can follow Gabrielle and see her artworks on her Instagram: @artworkbygabrielle

Alternative version: Affinity Designer

If you are looking for lettering glitter brushes, you should check out this pack created by Nicole Mauloni!
It includes a wide range of 48+ sparkling glitter textures and metallic foils. Moreover, after Procreate 5.2 update release, the brush pack was also updated, to include all the ‘effects’ & ‘confetti’ brush sets available as 3D painting brushes.
There are also 22 shape stamps: geometric shapes and floral stamps – these were created using real flowers and leaves!
Below is Nicole’s brush pack presentation, where she shows the updated pack v2 and explains how to use her brushes.

Nicole Mauloni is a Calligraphy & Lettering Artist, and she recorded lots of tutorials, where you can learn the art of lettering and how to use Procreate. You can join her courses on her website: ipadcalligraphy.com or watch her tutorials on her Youtube channel: @iPadCalligraphy. I subscribed to her channel myself, as lettering and calligraphy aren’t my strong suit, but her videos really helped me to learn a few tricks!

3. Glitter & Sparkle by Art with Flo

It’s a nice change to see glitter brushes used as surface textures to paint objects.
These glitter and sparkle brushes are set to Screen blending mode and work best with a light color on a darker background. These glitter and sparkle brushes are set to Screen blending mode and work best with a light color on a darker background.

It has interesting textures, there’s dust glitter,  a few marker stroke brushes and some brushes with unusual textures (the one with rhombus mozaik is my fav).

Ps. I just noticed that Haze Long and Flo used the same model while testing their glitter brushes and included in their promo images 😉 just saying.

This set created has 40 brushes, that can be categorized to 2 groups – regular brushes which are perfect for sketching and drawing and glitter brushes to add some sparkles.

In this pack created by Seamless Team you will also find 15 amazing gold and glitter textures. I find the metal textures really useful, especially if you are trying to paint a metallic surface, such as golden armor.

Additionally, there’s also included a metallic color palette.

5. Shimmer Set by Sadie Lew

View brushes (19+)

Zipped File Size: 67.1 MB
File Types Included: .BRUSHSET, .SWATCHES
Software compatibility: Procreate

I’m happy to mention another brush pack created b Sadie Lew on my blog!
“Shimmer Set” consists of 19 brushes that imitate glitters & foils. *It was featured in the past in the Makeup brushes list, as the pack that helps you to paint glittery eyeshadows and lip gloss.

I like it because of how various the brushes are. I also like their presentation – you can read a short description of each brush in the product images to help you understand how to use them.
Personally, I find this pack perfect for drawing makeup & accessories.

Another useful thing is that you can build up the effect with pen pressure & layering. There’s also 1 color palette that features metallic colors in this pack.

6. Metallic Watercolor Kit by The Ink Affair

View brushes (44+)

Zipped File Size: 605.8 MB
File Types Included: .JPG, .BRUSHSET

If you need a glitter pack for creating cards, leaflets, and banners – this might be the right pack for you.

This product is worth mentioning for the paper textures alone: “Shimmer shine” has 29 gold glitter paper textures + 20 rose gold textures + 23 silver textures. Each texture has 3000×3000 px in size. Moreover, there are 25 watercolor shape stamps perfect for decorating cards.

And finally, you will find here 41 glitter and confetti textures of different sizes and shapes. Again, I find them more useful for creating cards and banners rather than for painting jewelry/makeup/lettering.

Taozipie is a creator whom I mentioned on my blog in the past already a few times. And this time I have the pleasure of mentioning the same pack I’ve already featured in my other list “SKIN brushes for PROCREATE“.
You can stumble upon this brushpack while looking for skin brushes. And no wonder, because it’s often used for adding details/shine to skin and painting makeup.

Moreover, this pack of 25 brushes is FREE to download, but if you would like to use it for commercial work, you can buy a commercial license separately: Taozipie’s Commerical License.

*There’s also a similar brush pack that’s worth mentioning: Taozipie’s Face Shine Brushset [FREE]

10. Haze Long Procreate Glitter Brushes V2 [FREE]

View brushes (20)

Zipped File Size: 8.55 MB
File Types Included: .BRUSHSET
Software compatibility: Procreate

Here’s another great brush set, it consists of 20 glitter brushes. And I have to say that it’s perfect for painting makeup! It has such brushes as “soft brightening sparkles” that you can use to create a highlighter effect on cheekbones. But if you struggle with painting skin alone – don’t worry, this pack additionally includes 2 skin texture brushes!

If you want to see these brushes in action, watch Haze Long’s portrait tutorial below. It’s greatly informative and I recommend Haze Long’s tutorials to everyone who wants to learn how to draw portraits. You may not notice it by just looking at the promo illustration, but Haze Long used her glitter brushes to paint the skin texture, achieving this glossy effect. You can try it yourself, because these brushes are free to download!

Downloading these brushes is free, but you can donate a few bucks via gumroad. Any donations will go into Haze Long Youtube tutorials making and to more Procreate goodies.

11. Metallic Gold & Glitter by AlwaysBeColoring

View brushes (17+)

If I would have to point just 1 brush pack that imitates glitter markers the most, it would be this pack. The “metallic monolite” is my favorite brush of this set, it reminds me of my own opaque glitter markers I had as a kid, painting with them was a blast <3.

In overall, you will find here 18 Metallic Gold & Glitter Procreate Brushes and Free Procreate Color Palette. Amy Frierson is an artist specializing in lettering art, so that’s not a surprise this brush pack is great for lettering.

Below is a quick showcase recorded by Amy.

If you are interested in lettering, you should follow Amy on Instagram and Tiktok for Procreate tutorials and tips!

12. Procreate 24 Pretty Glitter Brushes by Fashion Workshop Bkk

Software compatibility: Procreate

At first, I was a bit skeptical if I should place this brush pack on this list, but upon investigating it I decided it shouldn’t be left unmentioned. You see, I thought that I already have enough amount of brush packs mentioned here, and there are similar packs included. But then I spotted the multicolor glitter brushes. It’s basically a brush that changes its color during usage. However it also does react to the color you choose, for example if you choose black, your brush will have dim color. On the other hand, If you choose red, it will have a pinkish tone.

Here’s a video presentation, at the end of it you can also see the multicolor brushes in action

By the way, check out @fashionworkshop.bkk’s Instagram for more brushes and some tutorials!

13. All That Glitters by DeloresArt

Delores Naskrent, know as DeloresArt is an artist and teacher (with over 100 classes) who also creates Brushes and stamps.
Her “All That Glitters” is definitely one of the largest packs in this list, and she tried to cover in this pack almost everything we could need: 60 shimmer, shine and glitter metallic brushes and 10 overlay high-resolution metallic textures for use with clipping masks.

But wait, that’s not everything!
Dolores added there for us also a bonus – Watercolour Background Sampler Set of 10 Brushes!

If you would like to test a few brushes from this pack, here are 5 free glitter and gold brushes samples. Oh, and by the way, check out Dolores’ artworks! – @deloresartcanada

14. Glitzy Glitter & Metallic by KJP Designs

Zipped File Size: 29.03 MB
File Types Included: .BRUSHSET, SWATCHES
Software compatibility: Procreate

Here we have another huuuge pack! You will find here over 50 Glitter & Metallic Procreate Brushes and 50 Stamp brushes (“star”, “doodle”, “leaf” shapes)! The stamps complement the bushes very well, there ‘s also a metallic color palette included.
Definitely a great pack to have some fun with designing cards, plus lettering and painting too.

Quick warning – the stamp brushes are not metallic. To make them metallic/ glitter, just stamp the brush onto the procreate layer you are working on and go to layers, click and choose alpha lock – then click on of the glitzy brushes and your selected color and overlay the metallic.

What I personally love about this pack, are the unique brush textures. I like the metallic “scale” brush, as well as the “mottle” brush. That’s something that makes this pack stand out from others.

15. Sparkle Up by heymaryjean

View brushes (25)

I will be honest here – this pack was already included in my other list: MAKEUP brushes for Procreate [Free and Premium]. And this pack wasn’t the only one that was created by Heymaryjean and mentioned there 🙂

Heymaryjean just ROCKS at painting portraits, and most of the brushes she created are designed specifically to help you with portrait painting.
Including this one, as it’s perfect for adding shine, skin texture, and generally for enhancing the makeup.
What I like from this set are the confetti brushes with heart and star shapes. I also find the subtle brushes such as the “starry sky” or “gleaming” very useful in regards of adding a delicate glitter to the skin. (When I was testing a different glitter pack, the glitter brushes were a bit too dense and I had to maneuver with their size and transparency. Such subtle brushes were what i really needed at that time).

If you like these brushes, you might want to check out other packs created by Heymaryjean on her gumroad: heymaryjean.gumroad.com

16. Glitter Brushes by Disyukov

View brushes (22)

My main reason for including this brush pack in this list is that these brushes are just PERFECT for backgrounds!
Have you ever tried to paint a Christmas illustration, and struggled with drawing lights on the Christmas tree, or just generally paint a background that would add the Christmas/luxury atmosphere?

It might sound a bit exaggerated, but that was my first thought on this brush pack and in what situation it would exceed other brushes listed here.

Disyukov recorded a video where they show they add the glitter effects to their promo illustration.

Also, Disyukov published Free Glitter Brushes for Procreate for us to test 6 brushes from this pack! So before you get the full pack, download free samples and see if you like them 🙂

Software compatibility: Procreate

Here’s a pack of 24 glitter & sparkle brushes. I would say that this is an exemplary brush pack, where you have various basic glitter brushes – mainly dust glitters and a few brushes for lettering.  There are also a few variations of confetti brushes.
This pack includes also 15 foil textures, and 15 glitter textures + 2 color palettes ( “glitter and sparkle” and “metallic”).

There are free samples of these brushes – and you can gain an access to them by joining designavmad.se newsletter. But wait, there’s more! In reality, by subscribing to designavmad.se you will gain access to all freebies created by MAD – these resources (fonts, brushes, color palettes and much more!) are free to use for both personal and commercial use, no other license or purchase is needed.  It’s a pure goldmine, so please take a minute and stop by MAD’s Instagram @designavmad to say thanks!

18. 51 Glitter Brushes by Lucrumplus

Zipped File Size: 94.54 MB

Here are one of the most unique glitter texture brushes I found! I’m mesmerized by the creased foil and the delicate floral stamp brushes.
There’s 51 brushes in total. Unfortunately, there aren’t any pieces of information on how these brushes were created or any extra advice from the creator VikaBLACK regarding their use.

But if you have any questions and issues with this pack, you can contact Victoria directly on creativemarket and etsy.
Ps. If you are looking for the most realistic creased foil brushes, my vote goes to “51 Glitter Brushes by Lucrumplus”.

19. Shine Glitter Brushes by Sundrameda

Here’s Sundrameda’s glitter pack that I can categorize as the “makeup brushpack”. It contains 20 shine brushes, excellent for enhancing makeup and adding glitters to skin.

Sundrameda is one of the artists that I mention quite often on my blog, since she specializes in painting realistic portraits. She created a great amount of brushsets to help you paint portraits.

Her artworks are alluring, and if you would like to see more of her artworks I recommend you visiting her Instagram @sundrameda

20. 74 Glitter Brushes for Procreate by SandraWintherArt

View brushes (74)

SandraWintherArt is one of the artists who mastered painting portraits. Also, she is one of the artists I look up to!

She’s also a creator of various brush packs, including many portrait brushes and this Glitter pack – which is one of the latest packs she published. If you take a closer look at her artworks, you will notice that she tends to add glittery shine to her character’s skin and especially to the eyes – this is what makes her portraits so mesmerizing.

This pack includes 74 glitter brushes. When I saw the promo illustration, I thought that’s a brush pack that I could categorize as the “makeup glitters”, but after investigating the pack further I was surprised at how versatile it is.

Actually, I think it can be put in all 3 categories I had in mind when I was gathering this list: makeup, background and lettering.

It has great glitter brushes that can be used for adding background details and lights, there was even a brush that looked like an exploded firework.
There’s also a set of brushes that look like glitter marker strokes and pens, ideal for lettering artworks.

Please visit SandraWintherArt on Instagram and check out her amazing illustrations (if you haven’t yet!): @SandraWintherArt

21. Metalic lettering by COWdigitalART

View brushes (90)

Here’s one of the Lettering brush packs! It has more than 90 amazing glitter brushes, many of them imitate liquid gold – I haven’t seen such brushes in any other packs.

The 3d effect makes them perfect for writing, and generally fun to use 🙂  Below is a short video showcasing this brush packs capabilities.

The gold and glitter brushes aren’t everything that you will find in this pack.
There’s a bonus, of 166 brushes +1 Color palette +bonus2 (only this set) free 50 holographic +1 Color palette.
